211 San Diego could not have come to life without the help of our many dedicated volunteers. We strive to build and cultivate personal relationships with those individuals who volunteer their time to the well-being and mission of 211 San Diego. Here's how you can help:

Administrative Assistant Volunteer
Assist our team with daily operations which supports our mission. Projects vary and include: data entry, mailings, and general office tasks. Make an impact by developing a well needed project which enhances our processes.

Committees
Lend your specialized expertise such as fundraising, accounting or community networking, and join one of our several committees including our Marketing and Development and our Finance and Human Resources committees.

Disaster Relief Volunteer
Support our team and your community in times of disaster by assisting our Administrative, Resource, Phone Center, IT and Marketing departments. Share your talents while assisting us in the following areas: answer phones, train volunteers, update resources, coordinate logistics, provide expertise in network support and much more.

Phone Center Volunteer
Work alongside our Information and Referral Specialists to provide a live voice for callers to connect to. Be the link for those we serve to the essential resources in our community. Help us assure quality service by conducting client satisfaction surveys on a quarterly basis.

Research Assistant Volunteer
Contribute your research skills to the Resource Center and benefit our service of providing up-to-date community resource information while supporting our phone center operations.

Speakers Bureau/Outreach Representative
Be an advocate by representing 2-1-1 San Diego at community events and/or participating in Speakers Bureau. Disperse vital information to connect San Diegans to local resources to meet their crucial needs.

Special Event Volunteer
Utilize your creative skills to develop special events at 2-1-1 San Diego on a committee or provide valuable support at the event. Contact Angela Bernier at (858) 300-1299 to volunteer at 211, or download our volunteer application.
