General Information

Description of Service

Provides routine childhood and adolescent vaccines to protect against diphtheria, tetanus, pertussis, haemophilus influenza type b, pneumococcal diseases, polio, measles, mumps, rubella, varicella, hepatitis A, hepatitis B, and meningococcal meningitis. Also provides routine adult vaccines to protect against tetanus, diphtheria, measles, mumps, and rubella. Adults with certain health conditions/risks may be eligible for pneumococcal vaccine, and hepatitis B vaccine. Influenza vaccine for persons 6 months and older is available each year beginning in the fall.

Please note: Numbers will be given out at 8:30 am and 1:00 pm. Once the numbers are given out, the clinic will not be taking any more clients for the day.

Flu vaccine for 6 months and older is available on a walk-in basis.

Call for Hepatitis A vaccine or for information.

Intake Procedure

Walk-in or call for information about vaccine availability and schedule of low-cost immunization services. Accepts walk-in on a first-come, first-served basis. No appointment needed. Flu vaccine for 6 months and older is available on a walk-in basis, Monday through Friday, from 8-11 a.m. and 1-4 p.m. Closed weekends and holidays. No appointment is needed. (However, if you do wish to make an appointment, please visit the Online Appointment website.) Tdap and pneumococcal vaccine also available to eligible clients. Note that services provided until capacity is reached, which could be sooner than posted end time.

Eligibility

The following individuals are eligible to receive immunizations at County Public Health Centers: • Children and adults who do not have health insurance (adults—only certain vaccines available). • Adults whose health insurance does not include vaccines (only certain vaccines available). • Persons 0-18 years who are Alaskan Native or American Indian. • Persons 0-18 years who have Medi-Cal or are Medi-Cal eligible. • Persons 6 months and older in need of influenza (flu) vaccine regardless of health coverage. Individuals are not eligible for vaccines if their insurance includes vaccinations, even if there are co-pays or deductibles. If you have any questions regarding your eligibility for vaccines at County Public Health Centers, please call your local Center.

There is no extra charge for multiple immunizations given during the same visit. Persons who cannot afford the fee can sign a fee waiver
