General Information

Description of Service

Provides overnight shelter and day center for homeless youth (including pregnant teens on a case-by-case basis) and runaways. Services include family reunification, information and referral, counseling, case management, independent living and social skills development, job development, transportation assistance, food, and clothing.

**IMPORTANT NOTE** Clients Must be single minors 12-17 years of age ONLY.

Intake Procedure

Call or walk in. First come, first-served. Telephone interview required prior to acceptance in the shelter. Transportation assistance is provided in the form of bus fare or bus passes for teen clients to/from their local area schools. Teen clients may receive transportation to/from medical appointments.

Youth 12 to 17 years of age. Accepts emancipated minors. Accepts males and females. Accepts persons who are blind. Accepts persons with HIV/AIDS. Accepts persons with alcohol or drug abuse problems. Accepts persons with physical disabilities. Priority is given to homeless youth living on the street. Will Exclude For The Follow Reasons: AWOL from placement; Psychotic; Suicidal or homicidal; Ward or dependent.
