SUMMARY:Firefighters for Hope 10K Walk/Run
DESCRIPTION:Families\, community members\, and supporters of the fire service are invited to participate in the inaugural Firefighters for Hope – Cancer Walk\, a 10K walk/run through Poway to support the mission of the Firefighter Cancer Support Network. \nEmceed by Tommy Sablan (Little Tommy) of KUSI-TV\, the event raises awareness around occupational cancer risks in the fire service\, the leading cause of firefighter line-of-duty deaths\, and helps expand access to critical survivor support programs nationwide. \nBy raising funds through the inaugural 10K Walk\, FCSN can continue to deliver support\, education\, and advocacy\, giving firefighters and their families hope\, community\, and the resources they need when facing cancer. \nHighlights include: \n🎗️ A purposeful walk benefiting FCSN \n👕 Free event shirts for the first 50 registrants \n🚶‍♀️ Open to all ages / Family-friendly \n📣 Opportunity to learn more about cancer prevention\, early detection\, and available survivor resources \n  \nWHEN: Friday\, January 30\, 2026\,  \nTIME: Check-in opens at 9:00 a.m. with the race from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. \nWHERE: Country Montessori School | 12642 Monte Vista Road\, Poway\, CA 92064 \nStart and finish at Country Montessori School\, an out-and-back route along Pomerado Rd\, a safe\, accessible 10K suitable for all fitness levels. \nHOW:  Participant registration (with a minimum $25 donation to FCSN) is available at: https://www.firefightercancersupport.org/firefighters-for-hope—cancer-walk  \n
