Feb. 19 | 6-7:30pm: IMMIGRANT STUDENTS’ RIGHTS
Provides an overview of immigrant students’ rights on school campuses, including K-12 and college campuses, as well as their rights when federal immigration authorities are present.
FEB. 26 | 6-7:30pm: RIGHTS DURING POLICE ENCOUNTERS
Provides an overview of your rights during police encounters, how to protect them and strategies for handling these encounters.
MAR. 26 | 6-7:30pm: EDUCATION EQUITY RIGHTS
Provides an overview of the ACLU’s Free to Learn, Free to Be toolkit and its role in advocating for students’ rights-especially LGBTQ students, students with disabilities, Black and Brown students, and Indigenous students-to have the freedom to learn and express themselves at school.
APR. 23 | 6-7:30pm: FIRST AMENDMENT/PROTEST RIGHTS
Provides an overview of your First Amendment rights, including those related to protests, as protected under the California and U.S. constitutions
