Event Description:

This interactive course helps individuals and families strengthen their emergency preparedness knowledge and skills. Curriculum topics include:

• Identifying hazards and risks (earthquakes, tsunamis, wildfires, and other local risks)
• Creating a communication plan and family reunification plan
• Backing up important documents
• Utility shut-off (gas and electricity)
• Fire extinguisher use
• Building a disaster supplies kit
• Basic first aid
• Disaster psychology and understanding stress during emergencies

*Participants must attend both session in order to receive a certificate*
