WeAllCount Point-in-Time needs volunteers who will help collect data for San Diego’s annual homeless census on January 30, 2025! This census will help inform and bring necessary homeless resources to San Diego County. Learn more at the registration page!
Purpose:
The WeAllCount Point-in-Time (PITC) serves the purpose of conducting a one-night census of individuals experiencing homelessness in our community during the month of January. The Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) mandates that Continuum of Cares (CoCs) perform this count every other year, but the San Diego CoC is dedicated to conducting it annually. The data collected during the WeAllCount plays a vital role in our region’s efforts to reduce homelessness, making it rare, brief, and non-recurring.
What to Expect:
As a volunteer for the unsheltered segment of the WeAllCount, your involvement will kick off on the morning of January 30, 2025. You will join a team of over 1700 volunteers to canvass the entire San Diego County, reaching out to individuals experiencing unsheltered homelessness. Your role involves conducting a brief survey and taking a headcount of these individuals. Below are a few key points to the volunteer registration process.
