INFO LINE is created as a division of United Way of San Diego County in partnership with the County and City of San Diego.

2000

FCC approves 2-1-1 dialing code for nationwide use.

2002

INFO LINE wins the multi-year County contract for Information & Referral (I&R) Services.

2003

INFO LINE becomes a stand-alone 501(c)(3) organization.

2004

The California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC) designates INFO LINE as the 211 provider in San Diego County.

2005

211 service officially launches in San Diego County 211 signs an MOU with the County of San Diego Office of Emergency Services 211 wins a contract with First 5 to answer the First 5 warm line
