The 4-Phases of a Disaster: The Resident’s Role
- Preparedness (pets and people).
- Mitigation (fire prevention and home hardening).
- Response (evacuation planning and Genasys Protection Evacuation Map).
- Recovery (local assistance centers and the recovery process).
This presentation is intended to help residents become disaster confident and resilient. This training will prepare residents with the knowledge to help themselves; their families, friends, and neighbors prepare for and navigate through the four (4) phases of a disaster. Each attendee will
receive a personal disaster plan book to start their preparedness journey. Door prizes!
Guest Presenters: Red Cross San Diego, County Fire/CAL FIRE San Diego, San Diego County Sheriff and San Diego County Office of Emergency Services.

- Residents getting their FREE Seasonal Flu vaccine will receive a $25 gift card. Seasonal flu vaccines are available to anyone 6 months and older who has not received one this flu season.
- FREE Flu, COVID-19, and Bird Flu testing are available. Get a $25 gift card.
- FREE Flu Vaccine Clinic was added to the day’s training. However, it is NOT required to attend the training to receive the Seasonal Flu Vaccine. We would LOVE to have you join us though :).
