Participants will learn earthquake preparedness steps they can do to minimize injuries, and property damage. Recommended actions to take during different situations, such as when in bed, or at a grocery store, will be discussed. Each participant will also learn skills to help a family, friend or neighbor until first responders arrive, such as hands-only CPR, how to use an AED and how to stop excessive bleeding. Certificates will be issued, via email, for the STOP the BLEED Training portion.
Pre-registration required with San Diego County Fire’s Community Emergency Response Team (SDCF CERT): email [email protected] or call/text (619) 857-8050.
