211 Alerts

Get Vaccinated. Vaccination is the best protection against contracting the flu. If you are looking for information on the H1N1 flu vaccine, 211 has information regarding clinic location and hours, vaccine priority information, and general symptom information.

If you have a regular medical provider, please check with them first about obtaining the H1N1 vaccine, shipments are arriving at private providers now. If your provider does not have the vaccine, and has not ordered it, there is limited supply of vaccine available at six County Public Health Centers and one County Immunization Clinic. Please note that due to the limited vaccines available, plan on a wait at the public health clinics and they will only be providing limited vaccines to the following priority groups on a first come, first serve basis: PREGNANT WOMEN, CHILDREN AND YOUNG ADULTS AGES 6 MONTHS TO 24 YEARS OLD, ADULTS 25-64 YEARS OLD WITH CHRONIC MEDICAL CONDITIONS, and HOUSEHOLD CONTACTS OF INFANTS LESS THAN 6 MONTHS OLD.

The Public Health Center in the East Region has a limited supply of adult preservative free vaccine for pregnant women. Nasal spray vaccine is only available at the Central, North Central, North Coastal, North Inland, South and VIP clinics. The vaccine will be provided on a first come first served basis to healthy individuals in the CDC priority groups who do not have ongoing medical conditions and are not pregnant.
